I was born in Plantation, Florida and then moved to Pensacola, Florida. I lived with my family in Pensacola for nine years until my father’s job took us to Alpharetta, Georgia. After living in Georgia for four years, we then made the move to Frisco, Texas. Texas has been the place I’ve called home now for over 24 years.
I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, originally pursuing a career as a large animal equine veterinarian. After changing my major in the fall of my junior year, I decided to go a slightly different path, incorporating my love for horses, acquiring an animal science degree with an emphasis in equine reproduction.
Upon graduating in the Spring of 2010, I took a job with Priefert Farm and Rodeo Equipment, traveling with their 8 horse Percheron Hitch, all across the United States, performing and showcasing the hitch at numerous major PRCA rodeos, Farm Tech Days, and private events, under the guidance of Jason and Rose Goodman. It was an awesome experience to travel with a great group of people while learning something new about a whole new side to the traditional quarter horse world that I was accustomed to.
